Elemental VW 2008

We do always seem to get lucky with the weather! Elemental VW 2008 was a crisp but beautifully bright Spring day. The show grew again from previous years, we estimate over 400 cars turned up and made for a brilliant and diverse show as always with show cars of the highest quality.

My thanks as always to all those who helped out setting the show up, on the day carparking and marshalling, the judges and all those who stuck around on Sunday to help us clear up, the continued success of the show depends on your efforts.

Thanks also to the MK1 Golf Owners Club, Spooky Vee Dub Club, Splitterz VW & Air-Cooled Club, Der Panzer Paint Scrapers and all the other owners and enthusiasts that showed up in force to support the show.

For me, it is time to move on. My teaching career is taking me away from Essex but the show must go on. Elemental VW 2009 will be run and organised by those who worked alongside me over the previous three years organising the show and a bit of new blood to boot. I'm sure the show will continue to grow and improve in 2009 and beyond.
